Hi, I’m Tracie, the purple haired, dungaree wearing heart behind Wild Ones Photography. I’m a newborn, maternity and family photographer based in Tiverton, Devon, and I truly love what I do.

My photography journey began in 2017 when I moved from the Midlands to beautiful Devon. I first fell in love with photographing the landscapes and wildlife around me. It became a peaceful escape and something that really supported my mental health. When my youngest daughter was born in 2019, I turned my lens towards babies and families and something just clicked. Capturing those tiny details, the love between families, and the laughter of little ones brought me a kind of joy I had never experienced before.

What I love most about this job is the relationships I build with families. I might meet a mum during her maternity session, photograph her newborn just weeks later, and then watch that little one grow through milestone sessions and family photos over the years. Being trusted to document those moments is something I never take for granted.

My photography style is warm, relaxed and completely child led. A happy, relaxed child always creates the most genuine photographs. As a mum of three myself, I understand that every child is different. Some are shy, some are full of energy, and some take a little time to warm up. That is absolutely fine. I always meet children where they are and let their personalities shine through naturally.

My cozy studio in Tiverton has been designed to feel calm, welcoming and comfortable for families. My newborn sessions take place in a warm, peaceful space filled with soft wraps, beautiful props and comfy seating for tired parents. My family studio may be petite, but it is full of character and perfect for laughter, cuddles and relaxed moments together. I want every family who walks through my doors to feel like they are visiting a friend rather than attending a formal photoshoot.

Sessions are always baby and child led, with plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and breaks whenever they are needed. I send a newborn preparation guide before every session so you know exactly what to expect, and I have completed specialist newborn safety training with an award winning photographer. I am also DBS checked and fully insured so you can feel confident that your little one is always in safe hands.

Families often tell me how patient, kind and supportive I am during their sessions, and that I capture their children exactly as they are. That means everything to me, because my goal has always been to create authentic, heartfelt photographs that truly reflect your family.
