Hi, I’m Tracie, the purple-haired, dungaree-wearing heart behind Wild Ones Photography. I’m a family, newborn, maternity, and child photographer based here in beautiful Devon — and I absolutely love what I do.

My photography journey began back in 2017, when I moved from the Midlands to Devon. I first fell in love with photographing the incredible landscapes and wildlife around me — it became an escape, a little piece of calm for my mental health. When my youngest daughter was born in 2019, I started turning my lens toward babies and families, and something just clicked. Capturing those tiny details, the love, the laughter — it filled me with so much joy.

What I love most about my work is the connections. Seeing an expectant mum at her maternity shoot, then meeting her newborn, and later watching that little one grow through the years — it’s such a privilege. I know how fast time flies, and being able to give families beautiful, lasting memories means everything to me.

My photography style is warm, relaxed, and fun. I let the little ones lead the way — a relaxed child makes for the best, most genuine photos. I know that no two children are the same, and having three of my own has taught me patience and understanding. Whether your child is shy, bubbly, or somewhere in between, I’ll meet them where they’re at and capture their true selves.

Both of my studios are cozy, inviting spaces designed to make you feel right at home. My newborn room is calm and warm, filled with soft wraps, beautiful props, and comfy seating for tired parents. My family studio is petite but full of character — the perfect spot for laughter, cuddles, and a cuppa. I want every family to feel like they’re visiting a friend, not just having a photoshoot.

I always go at your childs’s pace — there’s no rush here. Need to stop for a feed, a cuddle, or a snack? Absolutely fine. I send a newborn guide before every session so you know exactly what to expect, and I’ve completed specialised newborn safety training with an award-winning photographer. I’m also DBS-checked and fully insured, so you can relax knowing your little one is in safe hands.

People often tell me how much patience I have, how kind and helpful I am, and how I capture their children just as they are. Those words mean the world to me — because that’s exactly what I aim for: to create authentic, heartfelt, and timeless photographs that tell your family’s story.
